Job Description:
A Dozer Operator is required for a leading construction and earthmoving company operating in Rome. This role involves operating bulldozers and similar tracked equipment to perform tasks such as land clearing, grading, excavation, and material redistribution on construction, mining, and infrastructure development sites.
The operator is responsible for maneuvering the dozer to cut, push, pile, or level materials such as soil, rock, and debris according to project specifications. Duties also include inspecting equipment before and after use, performing basic maintenance, and ensuring safe operation at all times. Coordination with site supervisors and other heavy equipment operators is essential to maintain workflow and safety on the job site.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience operating bulldozers in varied terrain and conditions, understands equipment load capacity and operating limitations, and is committed to safety and productivity in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate dozers to move earth and other materials efficiently
Read and follow grade markings or GPS data for leveling and contouring
Conduct routine pre- and post-operation equipment inspections
Monitor surroundings to ensure safety and precision during operation
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
Comply with Italian health, safety, and environmental regulations on-site

Education & Licensing:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid Italian heavy machinery operator certification or license, specifically for bulldozers and tracked equipment.
Driver’s license with category C or CE preferred for transportation to and from sites.
Experience & Skills:
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience operating bulldozers or similar earthmoving machinery in construction, mining, or infrastructure projects.
Proficient in reading blueprints, grade markers, or GPS-based grading systems.
Strong knowledge of dozer controls, load capacities, and operational limits.
Ability to perform daily equipment inspections, basic troubleshooting, and routine preventive maintenance.
Physical & Safety Requirements:
Physically fit to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and able to handle extended periods of machinery operation.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness to maneuver machinery safely around obstacles.
Strict adherence to workplace safety standards, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and site protocols.
Communication & Work Ethic:
Fluency in Italian is required; basic English skills are a plus.
Good communication skills for effective coordination with site supervisors and team members.
Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently or within a team environment.
