Job Description:
The Air Cargo Operations Manager oversees all functions related to air freight, from cargo acceptance and screening to aircraft loading and customs clearance. The role includes supervising cargo terminal staff, coordinating with airlines, freight forwarders, and customs officials, and ensuring compliance with security and handling protocols.
Key responsibilities include managing warehouse operations, optimizing cargo flow, maintaining cold chain logistics, and ensuring timely delivery and documentation of goods. The manager monitors performance metrics, safety procedures, and system integration with third-party logistics partners.
Job Requirement:
A degree in logistics, supply chain, or aviation is required. 7+ years of experience in cargo handling, with at least 3 in a leadership role, is essential. Familiarity with IATA TACT, dangerous goods regulations, and customs documentation is mandatory.
Strong management, planning, and communication skills are essential. Candidates must be proficient in cargo management systems and warehouse management platforms. Certifications in dangerous goods handling and cargo security are advantageous.
