Job Description:

The Airline Operations Manager oversees and coordinates all operational activities within the airline to ensure seamless and efficient services. This role is central to ensuring the airline functions smoothly, from flight scheduling and aircraft rotation to ground handling and customer service. The manager collaborates with multiple departments including flight crew management, dispatch, maintenance, and airport services to maintain on-time performance and ensure compliance with aviation regulations. They are responsible for developing operational policies, responding to irregular operations (IROPS), and optimizing resource use, including staff and aircraft assets. This individual will also analyze operational metrics and initiate improvements to reduce costs and enhance service delivery. The role requires rapid decision-making in high-pressure situations, especially during flight delays or cancellations. Additionally, the manager ensures safety, security, and regulatory compliance in all operational areas.

Job Requirement:

Candidates should hold a bachelor's degree in aviation management, business administration, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred. At least 8 years of experience in airline operations, with 3 years in a managerial role, is required. Strong understanding of airline systems, flight operations, regulatory compliance (ICAO, IATA), and airport coordination is essential. Candidates must possess strong leadership skills, crisis management capability, and excellent communication abilities. Proficiency in flight planning tools and airline resource management systems is a must. Familiarity with safety management systems (SMS) and irregular operations management is critical. Flexibility to work during irregular hours or under shifting priorities is expected.
