Job Description:
The Airfare Pricing Specialist develops and manages airline fare structures and pricing strategies to maximize ticket revenue and market share. This includes competitive benchmarking, route-level pricing optimization, and responding to fare changes in dynamic markets.
Key tasks involve analyzing fare trends, filing tariffs with regulatory agencies, managing GDS fare uploads, supporting codeshare and interline pricing agreements, and ensuring pricing compliance with airline revenue management systems. The specialist works closely with sales, marketing, and network planning teams to adjust fare strategies based on performance data.
Job Requirement:
A bachelor’s degree in economics, business, or airline management is required. A minimum of 3 years in pricing or revenue management within an airline environment is essential. Proficiency in fare filing tools (e.g., ATPCO), GDS platforms (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre), and pricing optimization software is expected.
Candidates must possess strong analytical and Excel modeling skills, knowledge of fare rules, and competitive fare structures. Understanding of route profitability, distribution channels, and airline scheduling is beneficial. Strong attention to detail, time management, and decision-making capabilities are essential.
