Job Description:

The Airline Flight Dispatch Manager oversees the airline's dispatch department, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant flight operations across the network. This leadership role involves managing dispatch staff, coordinating with flight crews, supervising flight planning systems, and maintaining regulatory and procedural compliance.

Key duties include establishing dispatch protocols, auditing OFPs, integrating real-time weather and traffic data into decision-making processes, liaising with air traffic control, managing fuel and route optimization strategies, and conducting recurrent training for dispatchers. The manager also ensures compliance with aviation authority requirements and internal safety management systems (SMS).

Job Requirement:

A certified Aircraft Dispatcher license is mandatory. A degree in aviation management or aeronautics is preferred. At least 8 years of experience in dispatch roles, including 3 in a managerial capacity, is essential. Strong knowledge of international flight operations, ETOPS, and regulatory requirements (ICAO, EASA, FAA) is critical.

Proficiency in dispatch software, strong leadership, decision-making, and risk management skills are required. The ability to lead teams during irregular operations and collaborate across OCC, pilots, and regulatory bodies is key. Training experience and knowledge of safety audits and quality assurance are advantageous.
