Job Description:
The Airline Operations Planner is responsible for integrating flight schedules, maintenance plans, crew rosters, and airport slots into a cohesive, executable operations plan. This role bridges the gap between strategic planning and day-of-operations control to ensure reliability, cost-efficiency, and safety.
Responsibilities include developing operating plans for seasonal and ad-hoc flights, adjusting plans based on disruptions, ensuring alignment with maintenance and crew requirements, and coordinating with ground handling and airport authorities. The planner also evaluates potential bottlenecks, models contingency scenarios, and contributes to operational KPIs and cost metrics.
Job Requirement:
A degree in aviation management, industrial engineering, or operations research is required. At least 4 years of experience in airline operations, planning, or OCC (Operations Control Center) is preferred. Proficiency in airline planning systems and operations modeling tools is critical.
Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, crew duty time rules, aircraft maintenance windows, and airport infrastructure limitations is required. Excellent communication, coordination, and analytical skills are necessary to support high-pressure operational environments. Familiarity with IATA and ICAO standards is also expected.
