Job Description:
The Architectural Drafting Manager in AI Farwaniyah leads the drafting team responsible for preparing architectural plans, technical documentation, and visualizations across a wide range of building projects. This leadership role ensures drafting quality, workflow efficiency, and compliance with project and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities include overseeing the production of architectural drawings and BIM models, managing staff assignments, ensuring adherence to drafting standards, and coordinating with architects, engineers, and construction teams. The manager reviews and approves drawing sets for accuracy and completeness and ensures that documentation aligns with project schedules.
Additional responsibilities include staff training, implementation of new drafting technologies, version control of design documents, and oversight of digital drawing libraries. The manager also collaborates with stakeholders on design revisions, supports construction documentation development, and contributes to project coordination meetings.
Job Requirement:
A bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or a related field is required, along with a minimum of 8 years of drafting experience and at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM 360, and graphic design tools is essential.
The candidate must possess strong leadership and communication skills, deep knowledge of architectural drafting standards, and a thorough understanding of building codes and construction documentation processes. Experience with BIM protocols and multidisciplinary coordination is vital.
The ability to train, mentor, and evaluate team members is important, as is the capacity to prioritize workloads and maintain quality under tight deadlines. Knowledge of ISO standards and document control best practices is a plus.
