Job Description:

The Biology Advisor in Qurain provides specialized guidance on biological systems and principles in support of engineering, environmental, and public health-related projects. This position serves a critical role in ensuring biological risks, sustainability practices, and ecological balance are considered in engineering designs, construction processes, and environmental impact assessments.

Key responsibilities include evaluating project impacts on ecosystems and biodiversity, advising on environmental mitigation strategies, and contributing to the integration of bio-based materials or bioengineering solutions into infrastructure and industrial processes. The advisor may also be involved in environmental monitoring, biosafety analysis, water treatment systems, waste management strategies, and ecological restoration plans.

The role requires regular coordination with civil and environmental engineers, urban planners, environmental consultants, and regulatory agencies. The advisor contributes to project proposals, conducts biological assessments, reviews environmental compliance reports, and ensures adherence to national and international environmental standards such as ISO 14001, EPA guidelines, and local conservation laws.

Job Requirement:

A bachelor’s degree in Biology, Environmental Science, or a related life science discipline is required; a master’s or doctoral degree is preferred. At least 8–10 years of experience in applied biological consulting, ideally in an engineering, construction, or public infrastructure context, is essential.

Familiarity with environmental impact assessments (EIAs), ecological fieldwork, species identification, and data analysis is necessary. Strong knowledge of regional flora and fauna, habitat classification systems, and conservation legislation is required. Candidates should have experience with GIS mapping tools and statistical analysis software such as R or SPSS.

Excellent writing and presentation skills are critical for reporting findings and advising stakeholders. A background in environmental permitting, sustainability certifications, or habitat restoration will be considered a significant advantage. The ideal candidate must be analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of working in cross-functional and interdisciplinary environments.
