Job Description:
The Biology Specialist in Mahboula works within engineering or environmental teams to conduct biological research, testing, and evaluations relevant to infrastructure development, industrial design, or ecosystem restoration. The specialist supports environmental safety, bio-compatibility, water and waste treatment systems, and sustainable development initiatives by applying biological science in a practical context.
Daily tasks may include biological sampling and laboratory testing, microbial analysis, flora and fauna assessments, water quality analysis, and advising on biodegradable materials or renewable biological resources. The specialist ensures compliance with ecological standards and helps mitigate environmental impacts resulting from large-scale development.
The Biology Specialist also plays a role in compiling regulatory reports, developing biodiversity conservation plans, and educating internal teams on bio-related risks and best practices.
Job Requirement:
A bachelor’s degree in Biology or Environmental Science is required, with 5–7 years of experience in applied biology. A strong foundation in microbiology, ecology, and environmental biology is essential. Candidates should be familiar with ISO 14001 standards, environmental legislation, and best practices in environmental monitoring.
Laboratory and field testing skills, familiarity with tools such as microscopes, spectrophotometers, and biological assay kits, and experience using software for data recording and analysis are necessary. Effective communication and teamwork skills are crucial for coordinating with engineers and project managers.
