Job Description:
The Automation Engineering Officer in Salmiyah is responsible for designing, programming, and maintaining automated systems used in industrial operations, manufacturing lines, and infrastructure facilities. The role supports the integration of sensors, controllers, actuators, and human-machine interfaces (HMIs) to ensure efficient and safe operation.
Key duties include developing control logic using PLCs, implementing SCADA systems, troubleshooting system faults, performing maintenance routines, and updating software as needed. The officer works closely with electrical and mechanical engineers to ensure automation meets operational, safety, and performance targets.
Job Requirement:
A degree in Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering is required. 4–6 years of experience in industrial automation is essential. Proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens, ABB, Rockwell), HMI design, and industrial communication protocols is required.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with preventive maintenance and system documentation are important. Knowledge of ISO safety standards and automation lifecycle management is desirable.
