Job Description:
The Circular Knitting Technician in Al Ahmadi manages circular knitting machines used in the creation of tubular knit fabrics such as jersey, rib, and interlock structures. These fabrics are widely used in t-shirts, undergarments, sportswear, and casualwear.
Duties include setting machine parameters according to fabric specifications, loading yarn cones, threading machines, monitoring the knitting process, adjusting stitch length or tension, and inspecting fabric output for consistency. The technician also diagnoses issues such as dropped stitches, yarn breaks, or machine jams and performs necessary corrections and maintenance.
Job Requirement:
Applicants should have vocational training in textile or knitting technology and at least 2 years of experience with circular knitting machines. Knowledge of fiber types, yarn characteristics, and machine settings is critical for achieving consistent quality.
Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot knitting defects are essential. Candidates must also demonstrate the ability to work in shifts, maintain production logs, and follow safety procedures. Communication skills and teamwork are important for working alongside production managers and maintenance teams.
