Job Description:
The Clothing Label Application Worker is responsible for affixing woven, printed, or heat-pressed labels to garments during the manufacturing process. Labels may include brand tags, material content, care instructions, size details, and origin tags. The worker ensures that labels are positioned correctly according to manufacturing guidelines and do not interfere with the garment's fit, appearance, or functionality.
Typical duties include organizing incoming label supplies, positioning garments for labeling, using manual or semi-automated machines for attachment, and visually inspecting each application for alignment and security. The worker also records batch information, ensures label compliance with industry standards, and may help with label design feedback when inconsistencies are noticed. This position requires collaboration with supervisors, quality control teams, and packaging personnel to ensure products meet all branding and legal requirements before shipment.
Job Requirement:
A high school diploma or basic education is typically sufficient, although previous experience in textile manufacturing or garment labeling is advantageous. Candidates must be familiar with label placement guidelines and possess good manual dexterity to handle small labels and garments efficiently.
Attention to detail, the ability to work quickly and accurately under deadlines, and an understanding of care labeling regulations are key requirements. The role demands standing for extended periods, strong hand-eye coordination, and basic record-keeping ability. Experience with heat press machines, tag stitchers, or label adhesives is an added benefit. Good communication and teamwork skills are required for a coordinated workflow on the production floor.
