Job Description:
The Cloth Laying Technician in Al Ahmadi is responsible for preparing fabric for cutting by laying it accurately and evenly on cutting tables or spreading machines. This process ensures optimal use of fabric and maintains alignment with pattern guides to reduce material waste and improve cutting efficiency.
Tasks include inspecting fabrics for defects, rolling and spreading cloth in layers, aligning grainlines, and placing markers for cutting. The technician must manage fabric tension and monitor equipment for proper function. Coordination with the cutting team and adherence to safety protocols are critical.
Job Requirement:
Candidates must be experienced in handling various fabric types and laying techniques. At least one year of experience in a textile production or cutting room environment is preferred. Familiarity with manual and automated fabric spreading equipment is advantageous.
The job requires physical strength, accuracy, and the ability to stand and bend for extended periods. Good organizational and teamwork skills are important. High school education or vocational training in textiles or garment production is recommended. Attention to detail, speed, and a commitment to safety are essential traits.
