Job Description:
A Drilling Site Geologist in Qurain provides geological expertise during drilling operations to ensure accurate formation evaluation and optimize hydrocarbon recovery. They monitor drilling activities, examine rock cuttings, interpret logs, and provide real-time data to guide drilling decisions.
The geologist collaborates with engineers, reservoir specialists, and drilling crews, generates daily geological reports, and contributes to well planning and safety assessments.
Job Requirement:
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or Petroleum Geology is required. At least 3–5 years of experience in wellsite geology is preferred.
Experience with mud logging, wireline logging, and well correlation techniques is essential. Proficiency in software such as WellCAD, LogPlot, or Petrel is advantageous. Strong observational and communication skills are necessary, along with the ability to work in remote and high-pressure environments.
