Job Description:
An Electric Network Planning Specialist in Salmiyah is responsible for evaluating and planning future developments of electric networks to ensure adequate capacity and system reliability. The role involves modeling loads, forecasting demand, and proposing upgrades and expansions of distribution networks.
They also conduct network studies, perform contingency analysis, and evaluate integration of renewable energy sources. Coordination with regulatory authorities and utilities is required for project approvals and compliance assurance.
Job Requirement:
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required. Minimum 5 years of experience in utility network planning or power systems is preferred.
Advanced skills in simulation tools (e.g., PowerWorld, DIgSILENT, PSCAD) are necessary. Knowledge of transmission and distribution design, load forecasting, and infrastructure development is crucial. Strong analytical and documentation skills are vital.
