Job Description:
The Terminal Shift Supervisor oversees terminal operations during assigned shifts to ensure smooth and efficient airport functioning. This includes managing passenger flow, handling security or operational disruptions, coordinating with airlines and service providers, and ensuring adherence to airport policies. The supervisor is responsible for allocating staff, overseeing boarding and check-in processes, and resolving on-the-spot challenges.
The role requires vigilance in monitoring terminal activity, enforcing safety and customer service standards, and escalating incidents when necessary. The supervisor also maintains shift logs, prepares reports, and participates in daily briefings with operations teams. Additionally, they manage emergency response within the terminal and provide leadership to frontline staff.
Job Requirement:
A degree in airport or business management is preferred. Candidates must have 4–6 years of airport terminal experience, with 2 years in a supervisory capacity. Strong understanding of terminal logistics, passenger processing, and emergency procedures is essential.
Proficiency in airport management software and DCS systems is required. The role demands strong leadership, multitasking, and interpersonal skills. Availability to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays is necessary. Training in crowd management and incident response is an advantage.
