Job Description:
We are seeking a qualified Agricultural Soil Systems Engineer to join our team in Dukhan, Qatar, within the dynamic Agriculture & Fisheries industry. This role focuses on the development, evaluation, and implementation of sustainable soil and water management systems to support agricultural productivity in arid and semi-arid environments.
The ideal candidate will work closely with agronomists, environmental scientists, and policy-makers to assess soil health, develop soil enhancement strategies, and manage irrigation systems that maximize crop yield while minimizing environmental impact. Key responsibilities include soil sampling and analysis, GIS mapping, conducting erosion control studies, and implementing precision agriculture techniques.
The engineer will also play a vital role in advising farmers and stakeholders on best practices for land use, soil fertility, organic matter management, and salinity mitigation. Additionally, the role includes preparing technical reports, managing project timelines, and contributing to research and development initiatives tailored to Qatar’s unique climatic and ecological conditions.
This is a full-time, on-site position requiring a proactive professional capable of working independently and collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams to enhance food security and sustainable agricultural practices in the region.
