Job Description:
The Arabic Content Localization Specialist in Doha is responsible for adapting English-language content into culturally resonant and linguistically accurate Arabic for various sectors including digital media, e-commerce, education, government, and corporate communication. The role ensures that localized content maintains original meaning, tone, and impact while aligning with the preferences and sensitivities of Arabic-speaking audiences in Qatar and the broader GCC region.
Key responsibilities include localizing websites, mobile applications, marketing materials, policy documents, training modules, and public-facing communications. The specialist works closely with copywriters, translators, UX teams, and content strategists to ensure consistency in terminology, message integrity, and user engagement. This includes quality assurance checks, adaptation of idiomatic expressions, and compliance with regional cultural norms and linguistic standards.
The ideal candidate brings strong Arabic linguistic skills, a creative approach to content adaptation, and proficiency with localization tools and techniques.
Job Requirement:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Arabic Language, Translation, Communications, or a related field. Certification in localization or content strategy is a plus.
Experience: 3+ years in Arabic content localization or digital content adaptation.
Skills:
Native-level Arabic fluency with strong English comprehension.
Proven experience localizing content for Arabic-speaking markets.
Ability to adapt tone, context, and phrasing for different sectors.
Familiarity with localization platforms (e.g., Smartling, Phrase, Lokalise).
Solid understanding of Arabic linguistic standards across the GCC.
Language: Arabic fluency required; English proficiency essential.
