Job Description:
The Arabic Language Translator in Al Gharrafa plays a key role in facilitating clear and accurate communication by translating written content between Arabic and English across various domains, including legal, governmental, technical, healthcare, and educational sectors. This role supports the delivery of culturally appropriate and linguistically precise documents, aiding organizations in complying with Qatar’s bilingual communication standards.
Primary duties include translating reports, policies, contracts, academic materials, official communications, and digital content. The translator ensures that terminology, tone, and context are preserved while adapting the message for target audiences. The role may also involve providing linguistic support during meetings or events, reviewing and proofreading bilingual content, and coordinating with legal advisors, editors, and localization teams.
The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of Modern Standard Arabic and its usage in both formal and sector-specific contexts, along with advanced English proficiency. Accuracy, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity are essential.
Job Requirement:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Arabic Language, Translation, Linguistics, or a related field. Professional translation certification is an advantage.
Experience: 2–4 years of professional Arabic translation experience.
Skills:
Native-level proficiency in Arabic; strong command of English.
Ability to translate complex legal, technical, or academic documents.
Familiarity with translation tools and content management systems.
Strong proofreading, editing, and formatting skills.
Awareness of linguistic nuance, idiomatic expressions, and terminology.
Language: Arabic fluency required; professional English proficiency essential.
