Job Description:
The Asphalt Paving Operator in Al Khor is responsible for operating heavy machinery to lay asphalt on roads, highways, and other construction projects. The operator ensures smooth and even application of asphalt, following project specifications and quality standards.
Duties include setting up paving equipment, monitoring asphalt temperature and flow, adjusting controls for optimal paving, and coordinating with ground crews to maintain a consistent paving speed and thickness. The operator also performs routine inspections and maintenance on paving machines to ensure efficient operation.
Attention to detail, mechanical skills, and the ability to work in outdoor and sometimes harsh conditions are essential. Asphalt Paving Operators contribute to the development and maintenance of Al Khor’s infrastructure by ensuring durable and high-quality road surfaces.
Job Requirement:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; training or certification in heavy equipment operation or asphalt paving preferred.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience operating asphalt paving machinery or related heavy equipment.
Skills:
Proficient in operating asphalt pavers and related equipment.
Knowledge of asphalt mixing, temperature control, and compaction processes.
Ability to perform equipment checks and minor repairs.
Strong focus on safety and quality standards.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Physical Requirements: Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
Language: Basic proficiency in English; Arabic language skills advantageous.
