Job Description:
The Coating Technician in Al Rayyan is responsible for applying specialized coatings to industrial machinery and heavy equipment to protect surfaces against corrosion, wear, and environmental damage. This role involves preparing surfaces through cleaning, abrasive blasting, and priming before applying paints, powders, or protective coatings using spray guns or other application methods.
The technician monitors coating thickness and quality, ensuring adherence to industry and safety standards. They also maintain equipment, document processes, and assist in troubleshooting coating issues. Working alongside production and maintenance teams, the Coating Technician helps prolong machinery lifespan and maintain high performance in Al Rayyan’s industrial sector.
Attention to detail, strong technical knowledge of coating materials, and strict compliance with health and safety protocols are essential. This position supports Qatar’s industrial growth by ensuring durable and reliable equipment finishes.
Job Requirement:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in coating technology or industrial painting preferred.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial coating or surface treatment roles.
Skills:
Knowledge of coating materials, application methods, and surface preparation.
Skilled in operating spray equipment and measurement tools.
Understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Ability to inspect coatings for defects and ensure quality control.
Good physical stamina and manual dexterity.
Physical Requirements: Ability to work in industrial environments, including confined spaces and at heights.
Language: Proficiency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
Other: Detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and able to work independently or within a team. Flexibility to work shifts or overtime as required.
