Job Description:
The Bio-manufacturing Engineer in Al Khor plays a vital role in designing, optimizing, and overseeing biotechnological production processes to manufacture biologics, vaccines, and other therapeutic products. This role ensures that bio-production facilities operate within regulatory standards while delivering high-quality products efficiently.
Key responsibilities include scaling up bioprocesses from laboratory to production level, maintaining equipment functionality, troubleshooting process deviations, and implementing continuous improvement practices. The engineer collaborates with R&D, quality assurance, and process development teams to align manufacturing processes with regulatory and safety standards such as GMP. The role also involves preparing technical documentation, supporting validation protocols, and contributing to technology transfer initiatives.
Situated in Al Khor—an emerging biopharmaceutical hub in Qatar—this role supports the nation’s goals for biotechnological advancement and domestic drug manufacturing capabilities.
Job Requirement:
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biochemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
Experience: 3–6 years in bio-manufacturing or biologics production in a GMP-regulated environment.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of upstream and downstream bioprocesses.
Experience with bioreactors, chromatography systems, and sterile manufacturing.
Familiarity with validation, cleanroom operations, and quality compliance.
Proficient in using process control systems and batch monitoring tools.
Excellent troubleshooting and documentation skills.
Language: Fluency in English required; Arabic is a plus.
