Job Description:
The Chemistry Simulation Expert in Al Rayyan is responsible for using advanced computational tools to simulate chemical reactions, molecular behavior, and material interactions. This role supports research teams by providing insight into chemical processes at the atomic and molecular levels, aiding in the development of new materials, pharmaceuticals, and formulations.
Key responsibilities include performing quantum mechanical and molecular mechanics simulations, modeling reaction pathways, and analyzing thermodynamic and kinetic properties. The expert collaborates with chemists, material scientists, and process engineers to optimize compound design and production processes. The role also involves reporting findings, developing custom simulation protocols, and contributing to publications and regulatory documentation.
Located in Al Rayyan, a growing research and technology hub, this position plays a key role in advancing Qatar’s scientific innovation and R&D infrastructure across industries.
Job Requirement:
Education: Master’s or PhD in Computational Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
Experience: 3–5 years in chemical simulation, molecular modeling, or computational materials science.
Skills:
Proficiency in simulation software (e.g., Gaussian, VASP, Materials Studio, LAMMPS).
Strong foundation in quantum chemistry and thermodynamics.
Ability to build and validate complex chemical models.
Experience interpreting simulation outputs and linking to experimental data.
Programming knowledge (e.g., Python, MATLAB) is advantageous.
Language: Fluency in English required; Arabic is a plus.
