Job Description:
The Chemical Analysis Scientist in Al Shahaniya is responsible for designing and executing complex chemical analyses to support pharmaceutical development, quality control, and regulatory compliance. This role involves working with advanced analytical instruments and methodologies to characterize active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), excipients, impurities, and finished products. The scientist also supports formulation development, stability testing, and method validation across various phases of product life cycles.
Key responsibilities include developing and optimizing analytical methods, interpreting data to assess product quality, preparing technical reports, and ensuring adherence to GMP, GLP, and ICH guidelines. The scientist works closely with R&D teams, production units, and quality assurance to ensure scientific accuracy and timely delivery of analytical outputs. Additional tasks may include troubleshooting analytical issues, participating in audits, and contributing to training junior lab staff.
Situated in Al Shahaniya’s growing pharmaceutical and research corridor, this role is critical for maintaining high analytical standards and contributing to the integrity of product development efforts in Qatar.
Job Requirement:
Education: Master’s or PhD in Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related scientific field.
Experience: Minimum 4–6 years in pharmaceutical chemical analysis or method development roles.
Skills:
Expertise in chromatographic techniques (HPLC, GC), spectroscopy (UV, IR, MS), and dissolution testing.
Strong analytical thinking and ability to interpret complex data sets.
Experience in method validation, transfer, and documentation under ICH and GMP guidelines.
Proficient in using laboratory software and data acquisition systems.
Strong technical writing skills for protocols and reports.
Language: Proficiency in English is required; Arabic is an asset.
