Job Description:
The Chemical Risk Assessor in Madinat ash Shamal is responsible for evaluating the potential health, safety, and environmental risks associated with chemical substances used in industrial, pharmaceutical, or consumer applications. This role involves analyzing chemical composition, toxicity data, exposure pathways, and regulatory classifications to determine appropriate handling, storage, and disposal measures. The assessor ensures compliance with both national and international chemical safety standards, including REACH, GHS, and Qatari environmental regulations.
Key duties include preparing risk assessment reports, advising on safety protocols, participating in incident investigations, and contributing to chemical safety training initiatives. The role requires collaboration with environmental health officers, toxicologists, and safety engineers to support regulatory submissions and workplace hazard management. The assessor also contributes to updating Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and labeling protocols for hazardous materials.

Job Requirement:
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Toxicology, Environmental Science, or Occupational Health.
Experience: 3–5 years in chemical risk assessment, industrial hygiene, or environmental safety.
Skills:
Proficiency in chemical hazard classification and risk modeling tools.
Strong understanding of international safety regulations (GHS, REACH, OSHA).
Ability to analyze toxicological and exposure data.
Competence in preparing technical documentation and safety reports.
Familiarity with risk communication practices and regulatory frameworks.
Language: Fluency in English is required; Arabic is advantageous.
