Job Description:
The Biomaterials Engineer in Al Wukair is responsible for designing, developing, and testing materials used in medical devices, implants, and tissue engineering applications. This role involves researching new biomaterials and improving existing ones to enhance biocompatibility, durability, and functionality in healthcare products.
Key duties include conducting laboratory experiments, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in R&D, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and quality assurance protocols. The engineer also supports product development cycles, material characterization, and failure analysis to optimize biomedical applications.
Located in Al Wukair, an emerging center for biotech and medical technology, this position contributes to Qatar’s ambitions in advancing medical innovation and improving patient care through material science.
Job Requirement:
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biomaterials Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Materials Science, or related fields.
Experience: 3–5 years of experience in biomaterials research or medical device development.
Skills:
Strong understanding of material properties, biocompatibility, and testing methods.
Experience with characterization techniques such as microscopy, spectroscopy, and mechanical testing.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements for medical devices.
Ability to analyze experimental data and prepare technical reports.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
Language: Fluency in English required; Arabic is a plus.
