Job Description:
The Biomedical Research Associate in Dukhan supports experimental and translational research focused on understanding human biology, disease mechanisms, and therapeutic innovations. This role involves assisting in the design and execution of laboratory experiments related to cell biology, pathology, and molecular medicine. Key responsibilities include processing biological samples, performing assays (e.g., ELISA, immunohistochemistry, Western blot), maintaining cell cultures, and collecting data for statistical and clinical interpretation.
The associate works under the guidance of principal investigators or project leaders to ensure timely completion of research milestones. The role also includes preparing technical reports, maintaining laboratory notebooks, handling biohazard materials, and ensuring compliance with ethical research guidelines. The associate may be involved in writing scientific manuscripts and contributing to research grant submissions.
This position plays a critical role in advancing Qatar’s medical research agenda and contributes to health innovation through collaboration with academic institutions, hospitals, and biotech organizations.
Job Requirement:
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biomedical Science, Molecular Biology, or a related life sciences field.
Experience: 2–4 years of experience in biomedical or clinical research settings.
Skills:
Experience in lab-based biomedical techniques and equipment.
Familiarity with biosafety, sample handling, and lab documentation.
Knowledge of ethical standards in human or animal research.
Good organizational and data analysis skills.
Teamwork and scientific communication ability.
Language: Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.
