Job Description:
The Clinical Laboratory Manager in Dukhan oversees all administrative, technical, and operational aspects of a clinical diagnostic laboratory. This leadership role ensures that lab testing services are delivered with the highest levels of accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance to support patient care and clinical research. The manager is responsible for supervising laboratory personnel, managing budgets, maintaining accreditation standards, and ensuring compliance with Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) and international laboratory regulations.
Key duties include implementing quality control procedures, evaluating new testing technologies, optimizing workflow efficiency, and leading audit preparation. The manager collaborates with pathologists, clinicians, hospital administration, and quality assurance teams to uphold patient safety, support diagnostic accuracy, and contribute to healthcare innovation in Qatar.
This role is essential to maintaining excellence in laboratory services and ensuring sustainable operations within Qatar’s healthcare infrastructure.
Job Requirement:
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or Biomedical Sciences. Advanced certifications preferred (e.g., ASCP, HCPC, QCHP licensure).
Experience: Minimum 6–8 years in clinical laboratories, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management position.
Skills:
In-depth knowledge of clinical laboratory operations, test validation, and regulatory standards (CLIA, CAP, ISO 15189).
Proven leadership and team development capabilities.
Strong problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.
Competence in budgeting, procurement, and inventory control.
Proficiency in Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and digital workflow tools.
Language: Fluency in English; Arabic proficiency is an asset.
Other Requirements:
Eligibility for QCHP/MOPH licensing as a laboratory professional.
Strong commitment to quality, patient safety, and staff development.
Ability to lead change and improve performance in dynamic lab settings.
Experience with accreditation processes in Qatar or similar jurisdictions.
