Job Description:
The User Manual Writer in Doha is responsible for creating clear, concise, and instructional user guides, installation manuals, and product usage documentation for a wide range of consumer and industrial products. The goal of this role is to ensure end-users can understand and operate products safely, efficiently, and effectively.
The writer collaborates with product designers, engineers, customer service teams, and marketing departments to gather technical details and translate them into easy-to-follow instructions. This includes incorporating visuals, tables, and diagrams to enhance usability. The role may cover hardware products, software applications, equipment, or systems in sectors like manufacturing, healthcare, IT, or home appliances.
The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, a strong grasp of technical language, and the ability to structure content logically for different audiences, including multilingual users. Adhering to branding, safety, compliance, and localization requirements is also essential.
Job Requirement:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, English, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: 2–4 years in writing instructional content or product manuals.
Skills:
Strong technical writing and user-centered content design skills.
Ability to translate technical information into user-friendly instructions.
Experience with document layout tools (e.g., Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Publisher).
Familiarity with visuals and graphic integration to enhance user manuals.
Attention to clarity, language simplicity, and logical structure.
Language: Proficient in English; Arabic is a plus. Multilingual manual experience preferred.
Other Requirements:
Ability to work with cross-functional product and QA teams.
Understanding of international product documentation standards.
Ability to manage documentation updates and version control.
Knowledge of Qatar’s regulatory labeling and safety requirements is beneficial.
