Job Description:

A Circuit Design Engineer in Geneva working in the Shipbuilding & Ship Machinery sector is tasked with developing and testing electronic circuits used in marine control systems, instrumentation, and safety devices. The role involves designing PCB layouts, creating circuit schematics, simulating electrical behavior, and validating performance against specifications. These circuits support ship automation systems, alarm panels, engine monitoring, navigation interfaces, and communication devices. The engineer collaborates with control engineers, software developers, and marine system integrators to ensure compatibility and reliability in harsh marine environments. In Geneva’s tech-driven ecosystem, the Circuit Design Engineer contributes to delivering innovative and fail-safe electronics that enhance vessel automation, safety, and monitoring. The role demands a high level of precision, creativity, and a solid grasp of both analog and digital electronics within marine applications.

Job Requirement:

  • Degree in Electronics Engineering or Electrical Engineering

  • Proficiency in PCB design tools (Altium Designer, KiCad, OrCAD)

  • Strong knowledge of analog/digital circuit design and simulation

  • Familiarity with EMI/EMC requirements for marine environments

  • Experience in designing circuits for control and monitoring systems

  • Skilled in testing and validating circuit prototypes

  • Knowledge of marine electronic standards (IEC 60945, etc.)

  • Ability to work cross-functionally with automation and software teams

  • Meticulous attention to detail and documentation skills

    • Fluency in English; French preferred
