Job Description:
The Customer Service Engineer in Zurich provides technical support and solutions to clients using ship machinery, systems, and onboard technologies. This role ensures timely issue resolution, conducts equipment troubleshooting, and collaborates with engineering teams to implement service improvements. The engineer often participates in on-site visits to investigate and resolve post-delivery concerns, prepare service reports, and ensure customer satisfaction. In Zurich, the Customer Service Engineer acts as a vital liaison between the shipyard and vessel operators, helping to maintain strong client relationships and ensure reliable ship operations.
Job Requirement:
Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
Experience in customer support within shipbuilding or machinery industries
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Familiarity with onboard systems, propulsion, and control technologies
Ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users
Skilled in preparing service documentation and follow-up reports
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Willingness to travel for on-site support
Strong time management and problem-solving abilities
Fluent in English; German preferred
