Job Description:
The Aircraft Movement Coordinator in Dubai is responsible for the precise and safe coordination of aircraft ground movements within the airport, ensuring timely arrivals, departures, and gate allocations while maintaining compliance with airside safety protocols. This operational role is critical in supporting airport flow and turnaround efficiency by synchronizing movements between air traffic control, ramp services, and airport operations control.
Core duties include tracking inbound and outbound aircraft, assigning parking stands, coordinating pushback and towing operations, and ensuring stand availability for scheduled and unscheduled flights. The coordinator monitors aircraft taxi movements, collaborates with apron control and ATC, and ensures seamless transition from landing to gate or stand to takeoff. In the event of congested traffic or emergency rerouting, the coordinator helps prioritize aircraft sequences and initiates standby stand allocations.
The role involves using ground radar, stand management systems, and communication equipment to ensure real-time coordination and documentation. The Aircraft Movement Coordinator is also responsible for detecting and reporting FOD, monitoring safety zones, and ensuring vehicle and personnel compliance within active aircraft movement areas.
This position is critical to maintaining runway and taxiway flow, minimizing delay times, and upholding the airport’s safety and punctuality standards.
Job Requirement:
Applicants should hold a diploma or degree in Airport Operations, Aviation Logistics, or Air Traffic Services with 2–4 years of experience in apron control, aircraft marshaling, or airside operations. Familiarity with ground radar systems, AODB, RMS, and apron safety protocols is essential. Candidates must understand GCAA and ICAO aircraft movement procedures and demonstrate attention to detail, coordination, and quick decision-making. The role requires shift flexibility and effective communication in English; Arabic is beneficial.
