Job Description:

The Asset Management Specialist is responsible for overseeing, analyzing, and optimizing a portfolio of assets to maximize financial returns and minimize risks. This position typically operates within banks, investment firms, real estate companies, or family offices, managing both tangible (e.g., property, infrastructure) and intangible (e.g., securities, intellectual property) assets. The specialist supports clients or the organization in structuring portfolios, monitoring asset performance, and executing rebalancing strategies based on market conditions and client goals.

Daily responsibilities include conducting asset valuations, preparing investment reports, assessing risk-return trade-offs, and aligning asset performance with strategic financial plans. The role also involves regular interaction with financial advisors, investment analysts, legal teams, and external asset managers to ensure compliance with regulations and adherence to the investment mandate. In real estate or fixed-asset contexts, the role may include physical asset inspections, lease review, and tracking depreciation schedules.

This job requires a strong grasp of investment principles, asset lifecycle management, and financial modeling. The Asset Management Specialist plays a vital role in improving the efficiency and profitability of the asset base by recommending acquisitions, divestitures, or restructuring of underperforming holdings. They are also expected to produce detailed performance dashboards and contribute to ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) integration into asset strategies.

Job Requirement:

Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Real Estate, or a related discipline. At least 3 years of experience in asset management, portfolio analysis, or investment operations is required. Strong knowledge of asset valuation techniques, financial modeling, and portfolio performance tracking is essential. Familiarity with regulatory compliance in the UAE, particularly for institutional investments, is preferred. Candidates must possess excellent analytical, communication, and reporting skills, as well as proficiency in tools like Excel, Bloomberg, or asset management software.
