Job Description:
The Business Law Attorney in Al Ain is responsible for advising on all legal aspects of the company’s commercial transactions, regulatory compliance, and risk management strategies. This includes drafting business contracts, reviewing lease agreements, advising on employment law, and representing the organization in legal disputes or arbitration. The attorney will also interpret laws affecting business operations, including commercial, labor, tax, and corporate law. They will collaborate with internal departments to ensure all business practices adhere to legal and regulatory requirements. The role demands a proactive legal advisor who can interpret UAE law with precision and offer strategic legal solutions. The attorney will also oversee external counsel relationships, support business registration and licensing processes, and participate in legal audits. A strong understanding of commercial litigation, licensing regulations, and financial compliance is vital for this position.
Job Requirement:
Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB or JD), with an LLM in Commercial or Corporate Law viewed as a strong asset. A minimum of 4 to 6 years of experience practicing business law in a corporate legal department or law firm within the UAE is required. Key skills include legal risk assessment, drafting and negotiation of commercial agreements, litigation support, and an in-depth understanding of UAE labor and commercial law. Candidates must be licensed to practice law either in the UAE or their home jurisdiction and must demonstrate high ethical standards, analytical thinking, and professional judgment. Bilingual proficiency in English and Arabic is preferred, particularly for roles involving court appearances and legal translations.
