Job Description:
The Consumer Rights Attorney in Dubai advises clients—both individuals and businesses—on their legal obligations and entitlements under UAE consumer protection laws. The role focuses on representing clients in disputes related to product liability, deceptive advertising, contract breaches, e-commerce fraud, and unfair trade practices. The attorney also collaborates with consumer protection authorities, drafts claims or defense strategies, and advises on regulatory compliance for marketing and sales practices. Additional responsibilities include educating clients on warranty laws, digital rights, recall procedures, and resolution channels via mediation or litigation. The attorney may engage in policy advocacy, review retail or service contracts, and support companies in avoiding penalties through proactive compliance. This position requires a combination of litigation skills, regulatory knowledge, and client advisory capabilities.
Job Requirement:
Candidates should hold a degree in Law with a focus on Commercial or Consumer Law. A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in consumer rights litigation or regulatory advisory is required, preferably in the UAE or GCC region. Familiarity with UAE Consumer Protection Law, commercial codes, and e-commerce regulations is essential. Candidates must possess excellent client communication, negotiation, and legal drafting skills. English fluency is mandatory, and Arabic proficiency is preferred. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, possess sound judgment, and be capable of balancing commercial and consumer interests effectively.
