Job Description:

The Contract Law Associate in Dubai supports the legal department in ensuring that all commercial contracts, service agreements, and legal documents comply with local and international laws. This role involves preparing legal drafts, reviewing terms for risks, and advising internal stakeholders on contractual obligations and dispute prevention. The associate will work under the supervision of senior legal counsel or legal managers and collaborate with external legal advisors on litigation or arbitration matters when necessary. Daily responsibilities include participating in contract negotiations, legal due diligence, regulatory filings, and maintaining a repository of templates and precedents. The associate will also contribute to contract audits and training sessions for internal staff. This role demands a deep understanding of legal terminology, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret contractual nuances across various industries, including construction, finance, and technology.

Job Requirement:

Applicants should possess a bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized institution. An LLM or diploma in Contract or Commercial Law is advantageous. At least 2 to 4 years of relevant experience as a legal associate or contracts executive is required, preferably in a UAE-based law firm or corporate legal team. Candidates must have excellent drafting skills, a solid grasp of UAE civil law, and the ability to evaluate risk in contract clauses. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary to support cross-functional collaboration. Proficiency in English is required, while Arabic language ability would be considered an asset. Familiarity with document review systems and legal research tools is expected.
