Job Description:
The Boiler Fabrication Technician is responsible for manufacturing, assembling, and maintaining industrial boilers and pressure vessels in Vancouver. This role ensures that energy production, heating systems, and industrial processes operate safely and efficiently.
Key responsibilities include reading blueprints and technical specifications, cutting, shaping, and welding metal components, assembling boiler units, and performing quality inspections. The technician collaborates with engineers, welders, and maintenance teams to fabricate boilers according to industry standards and regulatory codes. Preventive maintenance, troubleshooting of boiler systems, and documentation of fabrication and repair work are also part of the role.
By fabricating and maintaining boilers, the technician contributes to the safe and efficient operation of Vancouver’s energy infrastructure, industrial plants, and heating systems. The position requires precision, technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Job Requirement:
Education: Technical diploma or certification in Mechanical Engineering, Welding, or Boiler Fabrication; trade certifications preferred.
Experience: 2–5 years in boiler fabrication, welding, or industrial mechanical maintenance.
Skills:
Proficiency in welding, cutting, and assembling metal components.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and fabrication drawings.
Knowledge of boiler systems, safety standards, and fabrication codes.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
Teamwork and communication abilities.
Language: Proficiency in English; French is an asset.

Physically able to work in industrial environments, including confined or elevated spaces.
Willingness to work shifts, weekends, or on-call as required.
