Job Description:
The Drilling Data Technician is responsible for collecting, monitoring, and analyzing drilling data to support energy and utility projects in Winnipeg. This role involves ensuring accurate recording of drilling parameters, interpreting measurements, and providing technical support to drilling engineers and site managers. The technician collaborates closely with geologists, engineers, and operations teams to optimize drilling performance and ensure safety and efficiency.
Key responsibilities include monitoring drilling operations, collecting data from sensors and instruments, processing and validating measurements, and preparing reports for operational and regulatory purposes. The Drilling Data Technician also assists in maintaining drilling equipment, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring data integrity. The role supports decision-making by providing accurate and timely information on drilling performance, subsurface conditions, and operational anomalies.

Job Requirement:

Experience: 2–5 years of experience in drilling data collection, field operations, or technical support within the energy sector. Canadian project experience is preferred.

Proficiency in drilling data software and instrumentation.
Knowledge of drilling operations, well logging, and subsurface data analysis.
Strong attention to detail and data validation skills.
Ability to troubleshoot and maintain technical equipment.
