Job Description:
The Control Panel Maintenance Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical control panels and associated systems in Montreal. This role ensures that industrial and utility facilities operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory standards.
Key responsibilities include inspecting control panels, testing electrical circuits, troubleshooting faults, repairing or replacing components, and performing preventive maintenance. The technician collaborates with engineers, electricians, and operators to implement system upgrades, document maintenance activities, and respond to operational emergencies. Work may involve reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to ensure accurate repairs and modifications.
By maintaining reliable control panels, the technician supports uninterrupted operations, reduces equipment downtime, and enhances the efficiency of Montreal’s energy and industrial infrastructure. The role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and industry standards.
Job Requirement:
Education: Diploma or certification in Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial Control Systems, or a related technical field.
Experience: 2–5 years in control panel maintenance, industrial electrical systems, or utility operations.
Skills:
Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing electrical control panels.
Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
Knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) and occupational safety regulations.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Language: Proficiency in French and English.
