Job Description:
We are looking for a Building Energy Assessor to evaluate the energy efficiency of residential, commercial, and industrial buildings in Munich. In this role, you will perform on-site inspections, assess insulation, heating and cooling systems, lighting, and ventilation, and produce comprehensive energy performance reports.
You will use diagnostic tools such as thermal imaging cameras, blower door tests, and energy modeling software to identify inefficiencies and recommend energy-saving improvements. Your assessments will support sustainability initiatives and regulatory compliance for both new construction and renovation projects.
This role is suited for individuals passionate about green energy, sustainable architecture, and reducing environmental impact through data-driven evaluations.
Job Requirement:
Candidates should hold a degree or certification in energy auditing, mechanical engineering, environmental science, or a related field. At least 2 years of experience in building energy assessment or energy consultancy is preferred.
Proficiency in building energy analysis software (such as PHPP, RETScreen, or EnergyPlus) is essential. Familiarity with local and EU energy regulations, especially the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD), is a strong asset.
Fluency in English is required; German language skills are highly beneficial. Applicants must possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to produce clear, actionable reports. A valid driver’s license is necessary for field visits.
