Job Description:
We are hiring a Drilling Site Geologist to support geological surveying and drilling operations in Hamburg. In this role, you will supervise drilling activities, analyze core samples, and evaluate geological formations to guide resource exploration and extraction.
Your tasks include logging borehole data, collecting and analyzing rock and soil samples, and ensuring that drilling operations follow geological and safety protocols. You will collaborate with engineers and drilling teams to adjust operations based on geological conditions.
You’ll also assist in creating detailed geological reports, maps, and cross-sections, contributing to exploration plans and site assessments. The position requires field-based work in varying weather conditions.
This role is ideal for geologists with hands-on field experience and a strong understanding of drilling site dynamics.
Job Requirement:
A degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related field is required. Candidates must have 2–5 years of experience in drilling operations or field geology.
Experience in core logging, geotechnical sampling, and borehole analysis is essential. Familiarity with geological software (e.g., WellCAD, RockWorks) is preferred.
Strong observational, communication, and teamwork skills are necessary. Ability to interpret geological data quickly and accurately on-site is critical.
Fluency in English is required; German language skills are an advantage. Candidates must be comfortable with travel and field assignments.
