Job Description:

We are seeking a Drilling Data Technician to support drilling operations and data management in Hamburg. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing drilling data from exploration and production wells. Your work will help optimize drilling performance and ensure data quality for geological and engineering teams.

Your daily tasks include monitoring drilling parameters, logging drilling activities, maintaining data integrity, and preparing detailed reports. You will collaborate with drilling engineers, geologists, and data analysts to troubleshoot operational issues and improve wellbore placement.

This role requires hands-on use of data acquisition systems and software, as well as working closely with rig personnel to ensure accurate data capture. Attention to detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to work in fast-paced environments are essential.

Job Requirement:

A diploma or degree in Petroleum Engineering, Geology, or a related technical field is required. At least 2–4 years of experience in drilling data management or field data technician roles is preferred.

Candidates must have proficiency with drilling data software (e.g., WellView, OpenWells), knowledge of drilling parameters, and an understanding of well logging and mud logging processes. Familiarity with industry standards for data collection and quality control is important.

Strong computer skills, including database management and MS Office, are necessary. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with rig crews and technical teams are essential.

Willingness to work on-site and in shifts is required. Fluency in English is mandatory; German language skills are an advantage.
