Job Description:

We are hiring an Electric Network Planning Specialist to lead the design and optimization of electrical distribution and transmission networks in Hamburg. This role involves creating detailed plans for grid expansion, analyzing current system performance, and ensuring alignment with long-term energy strategies and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities include preparing load forecasts, conducting feasibility studies, and modeling power flows and contingencies. You will collaborate with technical teams and utility partners to evaluate system improvements and oversee the implementation of expansion or reinforcement projects.

You’ll also be involved in integrating renewable sources into the network and implementing smart grid technologies to enhance system efficiency and reliability. This is a high-impact position ideal for individuals committed to energy innovation and infrastructure modernization.

Job Requirement:

A degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field is required. Candidates should have 4–7 years of experience in electrical network planning or utility engineering.

Expertise in simulation and planning tools like DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSS®SINCAL, or similar software is essential.

Strong analytical and organizational skills are needed to manage complex data sets and translate them into actionable engineering plans.

Knowledge of German and EU energy regulations, along with fluency in English, is essential. Proficiency in German is highly preferred.

Familiarity with renewable energy systems, grid automation, and regulatory reporting is an advantage.
