Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Fiber Optic Cable Installer to support telecommunications infrastructure projects in Munich. The role involves installing, splicing, testing, and maintaining fiber optic cables used for high-speed data and communication networks.
Your responsibilities include preparing cable routes, laying underground or aerial fiber optic cables, performing splicing operations with precision, and conducting tests to ensure signal integrity and performance. You will also troubleshoot faults, document installation processes, and collaborate with network engineers and project managers.
This position requires technical expertise in fiber optics, attention to detail, and adherence to safety standards while working in various outdoor environments and confined spaces.
Job Requirement:
Candidates should hold a technical diploma or certification in telecommunications, fiber optics, or related fields. Prior experience (2+ years) in fiber optic cable installation and splicing is highly preferred.
You must be familiar with splicing equipment, OTDR testing, cable handling techniques, and relevant safety regulations. Ability to read technical drawings and communicate effectively with team members is essential.
The ideal candidate is physically fit, able to work at heights or underground, and willing to work flexible hours including overtime when required. Valid driver’s license and proficiency in German and English are advantageous.
