Job Description:
The Arc Welder in Qurain is responsible for joining metal parts using arc welding techniques, including SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding). Tasks include interpreting blueprints and welding symbols, preparing workpieces, positioning and securing components, and applying appropriate welding techniques to meet design specifications. The role requires inspecting welds for structural soundness, repairing defective welds, and maintaining welding equipment. Arc welders also ensure that welding processes adhere to safety and quality standards. This job involves working in various positions and conditions, including confined spaces and elevated locations, and may require collaboration with fabricators and engineers on-site.
Job Requirement:
Certification in welding from a recognized technical institution
Proven experience in arc welding, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting
Proficiency in reading blueprints, welding codes, and safety documentation
Solid understanding of welding safety protocols and PPE requirements
Skilled in operating arc welding equipment and tools
Manual dexterity and physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks in demanding environments
Familiarity with metals and material behavior during welding
Good eye-hand coordination and steady hand control
Ability to work independently or as part of a welding/fabrication team
Willingness to work overtime or non-standard hours when required
