Job Description:
The Coating Line Technician in Salmiyah manages the application of protective or decorative coatings on metal, plastic, or composite products using automated or semi-automated lines. This position ensures proper coating thickness, adhesion, and finish by monitoring coating equipment, inspecting parts, and making necessary adjustments to maintain quality and production speed.
Daily responsibilities include preparing workpieces, loading them onto the conveyor system, adjusting machine settings, monitoring coating flow and curing ovens, and conducting quality inspections. The technician documents production metrics, conducts minor repairs, and supports preventive maintenance. Close coordination with the quality control and maintenance departments is required to minimize downtime.
Job Requirement:
Technical certificate or on-the-job training in coating or surface treatment
2+ years of experience with automated coating or painting equipment
Understanding of coating materials, thickness measurement, and curing conditions
Ability to identify surface defects and take corrective action
Familiarity with production line equipment, conveyors, and safety mechanisms
Strong documentation and reporting skills
Physical ability to handle coated materials and wear PPE
Ability to read specifications and production schedules accurately
Team player with a quality-first mindset
Flexibility to work multiple shifts or extended hours
