Job Description:

The Component Assembly Technician is tasked with assembling intricate parts and subassemblies into finished or semi-finished products in a manufacturing environment. This role involves working from detailed blueprints, engineering drawings, or written instructions to align, connect, and fasten components using hand and power tools. Responsibilities include inspecting parts before and after assembly, testing functionality, and making necessary adjustments to ensure product quality. The technician may also handle soldering, wiring, and small parts installation. Depending on the industry, the technician may work with electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic components. Additional duties include maintaining production records, ensuring the cleanliness of the workstation, and participating in safety and quality training sessions. This position requires a high level of precision, technical skills, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Job Requirement:

  • Technical diploma or high school education with relevant manufacturing experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in component assembly or a similar role

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, assembly diagrams, and specifications

  • Skilled in using precision tools, such as torque wrenches, calipers, and soldering irons

  • Understanding of mechanical and electrical components

  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills

  • Familiarity with quality assurance practices and documentation

  • Capacity to troubleshoot minor assembly issues

  • Commitment to safety protocols and production efficiency

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
