Job Description:
A Sustainability Consultant in Qurain works with companies, government agencies, and institutions to create and implement strategies that promote environmental sustainability, reduce ecological footprints, and meet regulatory and corporate social responsibility goals. Their role includes conducting sustainability audits, advising on energy efficiency, waste management, and sustainable sourcing, and assisting clients in transitioning to greener operations.
The consultant conducts lifecycle assessments and carbon footprint analyses, recommends improvements in water use, energy consumption, and materials sourcing, and supports organizations in obtaining environmental certifications such as LEED or ISO 14001. They also help draft sustainability reports, manage stakeholder communications, and ensure alignment with national environmental laws and international frameworks.
Job Requirement:
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or Engineering. A master’s degree or certifications in environmental auditing or sustainability reporting (e.g., GRI Standards) is preferred. At least 5 years of experience in sustainability projects or environmental consulting is essential.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in tools like SimaPro or OpenLCA, and a good understanding of sustainable technologies and green building standards are expected. Communication and stakeholder engagement skills are crucial. Knowledge of local environmental regulations and global sustainability benchmarks is required.
