Job Description:
The Air Duct Hygiene Technician is responsible for cleaning and disinfecting HVAC ductwork to improve indoor air quality and system efficiency in commercial and residential buildings across Dunedin. Key tasks include inspecting air ducts using cameras or access panels, removing dust, debris, mold, or contaminants using vacuum systems, rotating brushes, and negative air machines, and applying antimicrobial treatments or sealants when required. Technicians work in crawlspaces, attics, and ceilings, often in confined or dusty environments. The job requires adherence to indoor air quality standards and reporting before/after cleaning results to clients or building managers. This role contributes to the health and safety of occupants and prolongs HVAC system life, making it critical in hospitals, offices, schools, and industrial facilities.
Job Requirement:
Candidates must have experience or training in HVAC maintenance, duct cleaning, or building hygiene. They must be physically fit, comfortable in confined spaces, and able to use specialized cleaning equipment safely. Attention to air quality standards, hygiene protocols, and safety gear use (e.g., respirators) is required. A detail-oriented approach and ability to document work completed are essential.
