Job Description:
The AML Compliance Analyst in Al Khor is responsible for monitoring, detecting, and reporting suspicious financial activities in accordance with Qatar’s anti-money laundering (AML) laws and international compliance standards. This role ensures that the organization remains compliant with regulatory requirements and proactively manages financial crime risks.
Key responsibilities include analyzing transactions for unusual activity, reviewing customer profiles for risk indicators, assisting in the preparation of Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs), and supporting the implementation of AML programs and internal controls. The analyst also works closely with compliance officers and law enforcement agencies to ensure proper reporting and investigation procedures.
This position is crucial in protecting the organization from financial crime exposure and ensuring it meets the obligations set forth by the Qatar Financial Information Unit (QFIU) and other regulatory authorities.
Job Requirement:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business, or a related field. AML certifications such as CAMS or ICA are highly preferred.
Experience: 3–5 years of experience in AML compliance, financial investigations, or regulatory monitoring.
Skills:
Solid understanding of AML laws and regulatory expectations in Qatar.
Strong analytical and investigative skills.
Proficiency in transaction monitoring systems and reporting tools.
Ability to identify patterns and escalate suspicious activity effectively.
Language: Fluency in English required; Arabic is an advantage.
Other Requirements:
High attention to detail and ethical standards.
Ability to work discreetly with confidential information.
Familiarity with FATF guidelines and AML typologies.
Experience coordinating with regulators and internal compliance teams.
